Course Structure

Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.)

This course is a 2-year full time diploma course to train teachers for the primary level and is done with theory and practical classes along with school based activities.

Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.)

This course is an undergraduate professional degree that prepares students to work as teachers in schools. The B. Ed degree is necessary for teaching at the secondary and higher secondary divisions. The duration of this program is two academic years consisting of four semesters. The academic year shall commence from July 1st of every year. Each semester is roughly of 6 months duration including regular classes, assignments, practice teaching, and examinations.
